Solutions: Work Force Management

The dataVoice Mobile Work Force Management (WFM) System provides real-time, accessible, interactive information that field crews need to get their jobs done as quickly and efficiently as possible. This results in increased customer satisfaction, reduced labor costs, and improved productivity and accuracy. The system is an extension to our robust Interruption Management and Mapping System. It is designed to easily assign and manage outages and service orders and provide mobile users instant access to facility and consumer data that empowers them to make better decisions remotely.
dvWFM contains five main components:

  • Job Time Tracking/Crew Management - Job Time Tracking/Crew Management allows users to assign jobs (outages and service orders) to a single crew or multiple crews and monitor the status of each open job in the system. Users have the ability to dynamically assemble crews (including contract crews), assign priorities to jobs, manage job queues, and track the detailed time for each job and crew.
  • Vehicle Tracking (AVL) - With AVL (automatic vehicle location) integration, you can improve safety, significantly reduce outage response times, and more effectively manage crews. The AVL Integration module allows the utility to monitor and track the current location, direction, and speed of crews and view historical reports of prior locations, speed, and idle time. The system integrates with either a third party AVL system/server or directly to units in trucks. Since dataVoice supports integrations with many different AVL solutions including satellite, cell coverage, and radio units, you can be assured your investment is protected. The truck’s current GPS position will appear on the dataVoice web-based Map Viewer, located in the vehicle. The GPS position can also be transmitted to the main office, allowing users at the office to see the location and status of each AVL-monitored truck on the dataVoice Map Viewer (with real-time tracking). The back-office user can choose to view all vehicles, choose to run reports to view vehicle history, or track a truck’s location over time.
  • Mobile Outage and Service Order Management – The Mobile Management Module allows crews with a data connection to view a job queue consisting of
both outages and service orders assigned to the. From this job queue, crews can view all of their open jobs, modify or update jobs, close jobs and re-assign jobs to other employees/crews. Users can also pro-actively poll meters and check the disconnect status, all from their connection in the vehicle.  The Timesheet tab is used to track travel time, on-the job time, breaks, and other scheduled time to more appropriately monitor time to each job performed.
The Mobile Management Solution includes tools such as productivity reports, which allow you to view current crew status and activity history. Time reported
workflow reports allow you to view all assigned and dispatched work and verify the workload is equally balanced between all crews.
  • Vehicle Maintenance - Our Vehicle Maintenance Module allows crew members to easily track mileage, oil changes, vehicle inspection notices, and other scheduled maintenance. It is designed to assist the user in managing costs and anticipating future maintenance.
